Made a South African dish with these spice it had some kick.

This is not the first time I've purchased Frontier Berbere spice blend. It's not the absolute best blend out there, but it's really good, and for the money, one of the best blends available online or in local markets. If you've never tried berbere, this is a great entry point to Ethiopian cuisine!

But flavorful. Add a bit of cayenne and you've got stew magic.

You want to put it in everything!

This is a very nice blend and spicy. It's got sort of a bar-b-que flavoring to it. I love it so much, I immediately ordered a larger amount. Most of the spices I've been buying lately have been very salty or very bland with little flavor. This has a very good flavor and I've already used it on ribs and chicken. I got rave reviews on both. I also added it to a stew I made with tomatoes and beef, and I turned around and a huge pot was gone. They totally wiped out a huge pot of stew. I love spices and this is the best one I've purchased in quite a few years. This makes a good addition to any type of rub your concocting. I used it like it is... kind of hot... but not overly. Makes a great addition to your spice cabinet!

Definitely has good flavor. Also definitely needs some salt to wake it up.

This seasoning has an amazing taste, it can be used in rice, on meats, vegetables, etc. I will be buying more for sure!

I love it I'm Ethiopian this is the best so far but I need a bigger jar or by kilo.

Love it. Combines all of the ingredients I usually have to measure out individually. Simplifies my cooking. Authentic taste. Fresh, quality ingredients.

Very nice, good taste. But sadly it gives me heartburn.

I used this to make an Ethiopian beef stew. My husband thought it was great (and has a high tolerance for spicy food), but the kids and I couldn't eat it because it was too spicy. I will probably make my own spice blend in the future to cut down on the heat.

Spicier than expected

I found this after having enough of Bill Penzey's personal opinions shoved down my throat. This spice has good flavor but its not as hot as others I have tried.
