This mix is amazing. I just run out of the mix, that I purchased last year. I transferred mix in a glass airtight container and aroma is the the same as a year ago. I use this mix, when I have a little bit of chicken or other meat left over, little energy to prep fresh veggies, and craving for a soup. It is easy, fast and tastes amazing.

Arrived yesterday; upon opening the foil sealed package the aroma was beyond belief. !! Nothing what I thought for freeze-dried vegs. A robust, healthy chicken aroma with spices. I'm experimenting right now so I'll make sure to update my review. Thank youUpdate 3 days later... I absolutely recommend. I tried/tested and I love the entire blend. I make a lot of soup/stews... and I might add a bit of shredded carrots for a bit more texture and heartiness. I'm very happy with the company, Frontier, for their products excellent quality. I'm a big broth drinker. I drink a cup before bed most nights and love the convenience of bouillon powders like this soup powder. It is NOT like the store brand soup, however, its not caramelized like French onion, but its definitely onion flavored and would be a fantastic addition to literally anything you want to add a little onion flavor to. It comes in a bag so be ready to have a container to put it in. (I use the tall soup containers from my Chinese take-out orders.) As far as flavor goes, its onion soup. It has dehydrated onion in it, its an almost colorless soup, and has an expected amount of saltiness.

I was wanting to spice up my standard ramen soup so I started adding a can of chicken and this soup mix. It doesn't take a lot and it goes a long ways. It adds those veggies and flavor and makes it a much more rounded meal instead of just noodles. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to quickly add veggies to your soup. I keep mine in a ziploc bag on the shelf and add it whenever I have soup. You can't go wrong with this product.

Takes forever to soften up enough to be edible. I have to boil it for a good 20 minutes before I even add the rest of my ingredients. It does have a good flavor, though. Most likely I won't be buying again.
