This is a nice fit and a heavier weight which I wanted. Downfall - the neck (head opening) is huge. Way too large. I will keep it anyway.

As an 12oz Sweat is the warmth of this item only a little more than thinner Champion 1780's. It is sturdy but not to much, shrinks minimal imediately after 60°C washing and turns back to normal size in wearing process. So i advise to order your real size. Own different colors, those are all nice basics but not eye catchers. For around 10$ very reasonable purchases which i use daily as layers in wintertime. Well made basics without failures or weak areas which last for a long time. Timeless style. For wearing without a rollneck above is the neck opening of this Sweat way too large, you see undershirt.

I ordered two sweatshirts as a gift for my BIL who loves these heavyweight sweatshirts. The navy one arrived and is great - fits as expected and a good addition to his collection. Unfortunately, the maroon shirt was never received. After a month of trying to get the shirt actually out of the warehouse (customer service was helpful but I don't know what goes on in the warehouse), I finally had to ask for a refund. So...great product - if you can get your order.<br /><br />EDITED: While this was a frustrating experience, I did end up with contact from the company and they worked really hard to get another sweatshirt to my BIL for Christmas (arrived Christmas Eve). I've updated my review from one to four stars (minus one star for all the snafus, but kudos for the final round of customer service that made this happen). My BIL loves his sweatshirts.

The Athletic Heather Is labeled large Large but the difference isn't that bad probably swrink a Little. other wise i am satisfied.

I would have given it a 5 if the collar wasn't so big!

Nice thick shirts but runs really large if you need an extra large you need to order a large in these shirts.

I am male 6 foot and 155-165 lbs on any given day. I have a slight build and am generally between a large and a medium. I ordered this in a large and and it was oversize for me. The arms were long which is nice as frequently they are not long enough. I ended up boiling the shirt for 10 minutes and threw it in a hot dryer. It came out a a little smaller, not much, and a little thicker it seemed. It is still too large but it is comfortable and I am ok with it. If you are looking for a sweatshirt that fits more athletically, this is not it. This shirt is baggy in the arms and body. Overall I am happy.<br />As far as reviews for me size is important and frequently reviewers say it is large but don't mention their size, the size they bought and male of female. So it is hard to pin down whether a shirt actually fits true to size or actually is to small or large. If you like this review please let others know your experience with a a bit more information about your size, weight, size you ordered and male or female. It goes along in pinning down a descent fit. As for me I will be ordering a medium next time as this shirt runs pretty true to size.
