Keeping compost on the counter is silly and this container makes it so easy to store in the freezer. No odor or fruit flies! And it's super compact and easy to empty:

I have tried many different countertop compost bins. They all attract fruit flies. This one lives in the freezer and is perfect. No mold, no flies, no smell. I just wish it was larger so it wouldn't fill up so quickly.

I use them in the freezer for both compost and for saving bones for stock! They fit perfectly in the door of my freezer. My only complaint is that it fills up quickly so I ended up getting an extra one so I put that on the edge of my trash can so it's that much easier to remember to compost and I just put the grosser scraps in the freezer.

what a find, i wish it was a bit wider but it does the trick. I mostly keep mine in the freezer and bring the scrapes to it. good value

I purchased this model because we have a small freezer where we keep our compost so we're not constantly running out to the bin. It probably works no better or worse than any other compost receptacle, but it's perfect for us because fits exactly into one of the shelf bins in our freezer door.

This simply works and is easy to clean and not terribly ugly next to the sink

I can't believe there aren't more freezer compost bins out there. The freezer is the best place to keep scraps so they don't smell. This one is small enough that I fill it every 1-2 days and find myself always having to empty it. But the size fits perfectly into a freezer door shelf. I ended up buying a 2nd one to keep up with my volume. The pliable rubber is easy to empty, even when contents have frozen into a brick. Just squeeze the sides the frozen block of scraps comes right out. I like that the rubber material isn't bothered by cold. I previously tried using a hard plastic bin and the cold caused it to crack.

I debated buying this since I could have just gotten a similar sized container and kept in the freezer. We love the little hook that hangs from a drawer while preparing food to scrape into. Worth the $$ for us!

I use this in the freezer. It's a little small for my needs, but it does a wonderful job. It's easy to clean and doesn't hold on to scents. It's also soft so it will conform a bit to your available freezer space!

Compost can get really stinky, but keeping this in my freezer completely neutralized the scent. The silicone makes it easy to empty as I just squeeze it into the outdoor compost bin. Since it's small it does fill up quickly depending on how often you're throwing in produce scraps, paper towels, coffee grinds, etc..

I put my scraps in this container and then put it in the freezer. I have several of these. The morning of city compost pickup I take my filled scrap containers and turn them out into a large compost bag. You can turn them inside out to release the contents. I use them without the hard wire attachment but keep the attachment handy if I want to use one on a drawer to catch scraps.

Fits perfectly in the door of my freezer. I have the freezer top refrigerator style. The bin did not easily fit in the door of a friends side by side refrigerator. I wash it when it needs it. I mostly put fruit and vegetable scraps in it. For things like onions and bananas, I use a Ziploc bags in a second one of these bins. I put my frozen contents in paper bags for storage before putting them in my organic waste.

Size fits nicely in the freezer door and holds a few days worth of scraps before taking outside. I live somewhere with no AC so we leave our windows open alot. We wanted something that could hold compost but also not collect flies and this bin in the freezer definitely does just that. The silicon is easy to pop out and clean. No need to buy any additional composting bags.

I live in a condo and can’t really compost but I love this bin! I keep all vegetable matter and food scraps in it, in the freezer to prevent problems with fruit, fungal and drain flies. I have over 100 plants and I have to stay on top of flies! So far so good! Hubs takes out frozen scraps with trash; no flies, odors or wet trash, yuck!
