Mission: Fun For Cure, Inc. is dedicated to help promote health, wellness, and quality of life for children with special and/or medical needs via therapeutic recreation and group support. Our TR programs include Adaptive Tennis Fun, Theater Inclusive, Adaptive Guitar and Song, Rock Out with Phil, Adaptive Art, Fun with Pet Therapy, Outdoor Hiking and Biking, and special events like visiting the Animal Sanctuary. We are open to and encourage new ideas and suggestions. Our families keep us motivated and our kids keep us smiling!
Results: Fun For Cure, Inc. has never charged a fee for any of it's members or participants until this past 2017.We needed to charge a very small $15 fee for use of the tennis and music facilities. While we still try to acquire space and materials cost effectively, we need to fund raise consistently in order to operate efficiently. We have served countless community members on a daily basis at our TR shop/office by informing and advocating for them. Our members have all received the opportunities for group or individual TR services and have documented progress reports for their children. We follow up with our members throughout the years. We have our documented programs listed and evaluated for improvement and development purposes. Our members are children with chronic conditions and special or medical needs (and their friends /families). We are trying to expand to reach children at risk for abuse or neglect. Our most current programs are tennis, rock climbing, music, indoor sports, theater inclusive, outdoor hiking, and art. We encourage our families to participate and/or suggest ideas for us to implement as events or programs! We measure our success with the number of smiles we can achieve in a given day!
