Mission:Birds of a Feather RescueMission StatementBirds of a Feather Rescue was formed for the purpose of protecting and rehabilitating unwanted, mistreated, or abused exotic birds. People buy these birds for their beauty and don’t bother to take the time to learn about the birds.We have seen many come through here with different behavior problems due to the treatment they have received. I have a 68 year old Blue Fronted Amazon that was literally beaten by the man that owned the bird before giving him to a woman that brought him here. He is currently being rehabilitated and will hopefully learn to trust men again. I have macaws that have plucked themselves so bad that they will never grow feathers again due the damaged done to the feather follicle. We also have birds here that were just n
