Mission: We are committed to saving the lives of abused parrots. Many of the parrots in our care would have been euthanized if we did not take them into our sanctuary. People have inflicted horrible painful acts to these parrots. We provide a forever home for these parrots because their life experiences have left them untrusting towards most people and essentially not candidates for adoption. Our sanctuary is run completely by ourselves and volunteers. This allows 100% of all donations to be used strictly for the care of the birds at our sanctuary.

Results: We currently provide a home for 43 birds. There are several calls a week from people trying to find a home for their parrot who has become "unmanageable" and they state the other option for their bird is to "drop it off at the pound". We would like to expand our facility in order to provide a loving forever home to more parrots in need. We do not want to face a situation where we have to turn a bird in need away.

Target demographics: We are committed to saving the lives of abused parrots and providing them with their final forever home. We help them build self confidence and allow them to grow in an environment of unconditional love.

Direct beneficiaries per year: We saved and adopted 16 parrots over the last year.

Geographic areas served: Eastover South Carolina. With 12 counties. Animal Control, The Humane Society, and Law Enforcement.

Programs: We provide educational programs to the community, in particular, teaching children about the needs of parrots.
