Mission: GO Humanity's mission is to end poverty and hunger, promote good health and well-being, and foster employment opportunities and economic growth by mobilizing individuals and organizations that embrace humanist values.

Results: Since 2009, Foundation Beyond Belief and its affiliates have given away more than $3.4 million in grants and 245,000 hours in volunteer time. We have funded education in fourteen countries, improved access to health care for marginalized populations on four continents, and supported populations at risk after natural and human-made disasters. Through our Grants programs, FBB has supported efforts to rescue over 20,000,000 pounds of wasted food per year and redistribute it to people in need; to provide people in marginalized communities with resources and training to become self-sufficient and reduce poverty; to fight global warming and protect biodiversity; to overturn wrongful convictions and reform criminal justice systems; to open a new school for girls in Pakistan; and to fund a four-year college scholarship for indigenous Guatemalans. Through the Beyond Belief Network (BBN), we have empowered and supported local humanist groups in their efforts to fight poverty, hunger, homelessness, domestic violence, and climate change in their communities. BBN teams have delivered over 245,000 volunteer hours serving individual beneficiaries in 120 cities across the U. S. They've even raised over $1,000,000 in order to fight blood cancers through the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Through our Food Security Project (launched in May 2021), we award monthly grants to volunteer teams that effectively alleviate food insecurity in their communities. In its first few months alone, this initiative has helped teams donate 1,481 volunteer hours to distribute 22,629 pounds of food to 3,749 individual beneficiaries. Through Humanist Action: Ghana, FBB has worked with Ghanaian partners to ensure the rights of women, provide vocational training, and alleviate poverty. With support from donors, we are preparing this program to become an independent NGO by 2022, run by Ghanaian locals in the country's Northern Region. There, it will alleviate the hardship of women in camps for alleged witches by empowering local youth in surrounding communities. Throughout it all, FBB has mobilized humanist voices and dollars to fight for human rights, feed the hungry, and protect the most vulnerable. Our goal is nothing less than a world in which all people have access to food, water, and life’s basic necessities.
