I've ordered two of these and each lasted for about 4 months before breaking. Specificaly the clip breaks off on them. They work great until they don't. Only saving grace is that there is also a mini-caribiner type of latch so that it is still usable even without the belt clip.

The snap doesn't stay snapped, and the reel gets stuck often. It's just a matter of time before breaks like the rest.

I was afraid I was going to be wasting my money when I bought this for my husband to use, since he has discarded his other lanyards and would just keep his work ID in his wallet. He was skeptical of it when I first bought it for him, and mocked me and it at first. Now that he's had it for several months, I'm pleased to find that he still uses it and has said that he really likes it. He hasn't managed to break it yet!

My Hospital requires we wear our badges in a prominent place (shoulder high), but we need to be able to swipe them for time clocks or extend them for RFID security access to restricted areas. We are also not allowed to wear badge holder with any product branding at all.These fit the bill, are well made and have proven reliable.

I work in a secure City Hall that requires a badge to access the parking, elevators, office area, and even the rest rooms. I have to pull the badge out so many times I either keep in on a lanyard or clip it to my belt. This carabiner badge holder allows me to hook the badge onto a lanyard, a belt loop or to clip it to my belt. It saves a lot of wear and tear on the badge and so far has helped me to avoid losing the badge. The price was right and it came quickly in the mail. I cannot remember if the postage was out of proportion to the cost of the badge but that would be my only concern with an item like this.
