Picture shown is a bit deceiving, as the battery compartment on the back does not have the 2 screws keeping the lid on as ad picture shows. Due to this, the lid comes off very very easy - no big problem I guess. Also, units have NO protection for battery (no plastic pull-off to activate battery connection upon receiving the unit) so battery will probably be 1/2 way drained already or dead upon arrival - be ready to replace it once you receive unit.

Ok, but no auto-off. Will stay on for days, or until the batteries go dead.

It works okay for what it does. The batteries were dead when it arrived. Replacing the batteries was almost as expensive as the unit since the batteries seem to be an odd size. I had to go to a battery specialty store.

I got it for fishing (counting perch in the cooler). 1st one I got had a didn't work, I got cusomer service and they sent me a new one. looks like the only problem is the on/off button. it takes no effort at all to turn it on, which means if you throw it somewhere, it will most likely turn on and drain out the battery. Which is what I think was the problem with the 1st one.If your going to use it at home and keep it in a nice place, it'll be good for you. If your going to throw it in the boat glove comartment, get a machanical one. Counting 120 perch by hand is not a fun thing to do.

this clickers buttons are a bit hard to use and its just small enough to slip out of your hand. spend a little bit more and get a nicer one, you will be glad you did.
