Mission: Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta (GRRA) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving Golden Retrievers that are in need of new forever homes. Started in 1991, GRRA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered with the State of Georgia and is licensed by the State Agriculture Department as an animal shelter and rescue group.
Results: Over 4,000 dogs rescued
Target demographics: Golden Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers find new homes.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 287 dogs with medical care and to find new homes.
Geographic areas served: Metro Atlanta and surrounding communities
Programs: Complete medical care including heartworm treatment and orthopedic when necessary, and behavior training. We have approximately 250 active volunteers.
