This did 2 things for me, 1 the wire was hidden (I hate seeing wires) and allowed me to use parking mode. I got lucky that I had 12v constant and switched right above my map lights so I was able to tap in right there and not have to run it down the A pillar and into the fuse box.

It's nice to put the dash in park mode now if someone or a incident were to happen while your out of the car

I am no fan of Garmin requiring the use of a proprietary cable to continuously monitor activity around my vehicle. Not good for the consumer.

You will need to purchase fuse splitter or two to get this to work and possible a voltmeter but its worth it to not have a cord constantly dangling.

Works exactly exactly how advertised. No issues with connecting it to the cars fuse box.

This was bought as a gift for my husband. Worked great, and would purchase again.

Everything was packaged well. But two of the wires were labeled wrong. The 12v power and ground labels were switched.Install was pretty straightforward. For anyone else purchasing just pay attention to the wire colors.

installed this on my 2015 f150 and it looks so much better than a dangling wire. i tucked it under my headliner and down passengers side a-pillar down to the fuse box and had to connect it to two fuses and the ground. one wire needs to go to a fuse that always has power and the other wire goes to a fuse that only has power when the vehicle is running. this lets your garmin know when to go into parking mode which uses less power. this process sounds much harder than it is and there are plenty of full write ups online but any person who is somewhat handy should have no problem with this install and start to finish shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes

This unit allowed us to permanently mount the vehicle camera without having wires dangling around the passenger compartment. It works as expected. The price is a little high for what it is, a low power low voltage DC-DC power supply.

Works as intended. I bought two for my front and rear cameras (should be included with the cameras anyways to support the included parking mode). The cable was about 1.5ft too short while running the cable along the normal route to the drivers side fuse box, so I had to position the rear camera to the driver's side instead of centered. This was in a 4dr Tacoma, which isn't some overly large cab.

Installation relatively easy on my VW Touareg TDI. You'll also need the pigggyback wires for the fuse box.Check the voltage though; it didn't power the camera initially and I spent some time replacing the wire connectors until I realized that it cuts off if less than 11.7V (was just under in my case).

Hardwire kit works well. Doesn't include everything you need to do the job (you need to purchase fuse taps yourself)cons: Overpriced. Average cost of other brands is half this cost. You have to open the case in order to change the voltage check - for me it would never go into parking mode when set to the highest/safest setting. So having to pull it back out, unscrew it - change the setting - then put it all back together just made it a pain.It got the job done but I hated having to purchase this.

I gave this a 4, because you need to buy fuse taps, because they aren't supplied in the package.

Had the installed with Best Buy and it works great. My camera (Garmin 66W) turns on and off with the car, no issues. It also stays on after I park in parking mode for a certain amount of time based on how long I choose. It works just like how you would expect for a hard wire cable. No issues so far.

Works as designed I suppose. The cable is easily long enough to run from the dash cam to the footwell of a Jeep JLU Wrangler for power. I wired it with the ACC wire to the AUX switch pack Ignition wire and the Battery wire to the AUX 4 switch wire. The unit only has power if AUX 4 is ON. Garmin should make it more clear how the unit operates. Wiring ACC to Ignition DOES NOT power the unit when the Jeep is running unless the AUX 4 switch is ON. The ACC wire on the parking cable is ONLY there to sense when the ignition is on or off and thus whether the unit needs to enter parking mode. The Battery wire is the one that drives the power supply. Yes, that may be obvious but there are many who seem to think that's not the case thus it's not clear. There should be a switched option where when vehicle/ignition ON means dash cam is always ON and when vehicle/ignition is OFF the power to the unit can be controlled, i.e., I don't need the dash cam drawing power while sitting in my garage for 2-3 days!!!

The cable works as expected, during the past 2 weeks I've used it my car battery has not depleted. Make sure you buy add-a-fuse at your local store so you can utilize this cable. Crimping is always an option if you don't have a soldering iron.
