I shoot a lot of live music video for my YouTube channel (Sam Sattler's Bluegrass from the Other Side), and that means that I'm often away from battery chargers for what can turn into 12-hours of recording and taking photos. In order to make it through a normal festival day, I have to carry around two video cameras, two still cameras, spare batteries, and a monopod all day long. When the weather is cool, I used to try to strap some of that onto belt loops and place the smaller stuff inside my pockets, but in the summertime that just never worked because I didn't have as many deep pockets to work with. This shoulder backpack is so well designed that I'm able to pack everything I need for the day into separate slots and compartments with space to spare. And over time, I've gotten so used to the bag that now I know exactly where to go to quickly get my hands on the specific item I need at the moment. The bag zips up so tightly, and the fabric is constructed from such good waterproof material, that I feel confident about bringing my equipment out into just about any kind of weather. The bag is surprisingly light even when filled with the cameras and other pieces, and it can be comfortably carried for hours on just one shoulder.I just wish I'd discovered something like this years ago.
