Not good to use on hardened steel. My only purpose for these was to center punch broken bolts for easier drilling. They did not last long.

I've only used one of the punches so far to stake a metal part in place. The point appears to be hardened properly, much better that a cheap automatic punch that deformed on the same material. The plastic case is junky, but that's the only drawback I can see.

These are very good punches for the money. I used them to center punch a hole on a hardened shaftand they worked well. Could not do the job without them the shaft was that hard.

The package has a step to make the shortest punch appear as tall as the others. This causes the punch to constantly fall out even with the package closed and snapped.Used two punches on stainless steel and both tips shattered. Others work fine on mild steel.
