The general magnet has a long magnet the others have a button magnet and is not as strong.. take your pickand it falls out easily.

This scribe is nice, but I have 1 issue with it. It's light. The body seems to be plastic, and the only metal is the tip and the pocket clip. Other that that, it's a good mid level scribe.

First, I am NOT a machinist, so my needs and uses a far more limited. That being said, I find the scribe easy to hold and accurately use. It very much feels like a quality product to me. I have used all kinds of things as a scribe in the past, and I finally knuckled under to get the correct tool for the job. I should have done this years ago.

Used to edge on both Glass and metal ease of use was so so, but that's with anything. Found glass to be a little bit easier to edge on the metal is, but it's my first one so the skill will come later.
