Mission: Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club (PJWC) was founded in 2008 by Karyn McCarthy and Karri McLeod in Plainfield, IL, as a non for profit organization, dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services. PJWC provides an opportunity for women to network toward common goals and mutual interests. Women involved in our organization will also gain personal growth through leadership training and development. PJWC is a Subsidiary of General Federation of Women’s Club of Illinois (GFWC). This organization is one of the largest service organizations, and we are proud to be one of 250 clubs in Illinois.

Results: Our club has raised more than $350,000 which has been directly reinvested into the community

Target demographics: underserved women & children, elderly and United States Armed Forces (active duty and veterans)

Direct beneficiaries per year: 5 students and hundreds of others through service projects and fundraising efforts for the benefit of multiple organizations

Geographic areas served: Plainfield, IL and surrounding Will County

Programs: bi weekly service projects, two large scale fundraisers each year, and supply drives
