The shirt is made up of thick cotton fabric and is not flimsy. Has been holding up well after multiple washes

I ordered this shirt and also the "Gildan 5.3 oz. Heavy Cotton T-Shirt" to compare them. This<br />"Gildan Men's Ultra Cotton Tee" is definitely a heavier weight cotton than the "Gildan 5.3 oz. Heavy Cotton T-Shirt".<br /><br />So basically the "heavy cotton" shirt is thinner.<br /><br />I am guessing this "Gildan Men's Ultra Cotton Tee" is 6.0 oz. or more. It's better quality. The "Gildan 5.3 oz. Heavy Cotton T-Shirt" is getting returned.

Took 11 days to arrive, not the Gildan shirt I am looking for. Not a bad shirt, it's just a lighter material than the one I want.

Very comfortable, fits great...the only thing I was slightly disappointed in is the color. It is much lighter than pictured.<br />Still, it worked great for what I needed.

I normally wear Fruit of the loom heavy T. These Gildan Ultra cotton T shirts fit me better and are constructed very well.It's as close to a tailored fit that you can get if you have an average build.

The shirt is slightly smaller than I anticipated (in fabric allowance).<br /><br />Although it's comparable to Hanes' Beefy T, I felt the Gildan was slightly thinner (to be fair, it is 6oz vs Hanes' 6.1oz). You can check by holding up the shirt to a light and seeing how much passes through. Obviously, use the same color shirt for both experiments.<br /><br />Compared to fit vs the Hanes' Beefy T, the Hanes' shirt is slightly more comfortable. I honestly don't think the .1oz makes any significant difference, but it does sit differently on the body. I prefer the Hanes' shirt, but it doesn't make sense to return this Gildan which is available for only $2.95.

The first time I washed this item, having only tried it on beforehand, the bottom seam of the t-shirt ripped out halfway around the shirt. Saving a few bucks on a bargain-bin t-shirt isn't worth it if it immediately falls apart.
