Mission: Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through teaching girls to manage money, deal with peer pressure, critically examine the media, and develop a love of science and math. These programs equip girls to navigate gender, economic and social barriers allowing them to break the cycle of poverty, achieve academic success and become healthy, educated and independent adults. Through our intentional and compensatory programs, we are building a financially stable, competent and empowered generation of girls.

Girls Inc. began in 1976 as the Girls Club of Cobb County serving girls out of a one-room trailer. Each year Girls Inc. serves 1,000 girls in Kindergarten through 12th grade through comprehensive In-School, After-School and Summer Camp programming in Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties. In the past 40 years Girls Inc. has expanded to serve over 100,000 girls in these areas.

Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1977, and donations are tax-deductible.
