The bottom of the butter dish does not sit flat on the table so it wobbles and the top does not fit flat on the bottom so it wobbles too.

I bought two of these because I have a lot of people and a long table. I already had other items in Dublin. I also wanted a back up in case one breaks later. It was an add on item at a good price.

I love this butter dish. It looks great and has plenty of room so that the butter does not get all over the inside cover. The handle makes it easy to lift the top and get a slice of butter in seconds. It is sturdy and is a great addition to my kitchen.

This is one of the items that I put in "wish I got it earlier" category.<br />It's beautiful and the price is great!!! Really well-made, great quality, so elegant, and works GREAT!!!<br />It's pretty heavy and sturdy, the dish part has a little depth, I thought it would work out great for the butter I use which is "naturally softer" butter, it melts more than regular butter would at room temperature.<br />To my surprise, a day gone by, my "naturally softer" butter hasn't melted (didn't become runny, still in a rectangle shape) under the cover, not like in my old butter dish would. I am extremely happy with this product!! :)

I loved this butter dish so much am giving one for a hostess gift at Xmas. It looks almost as good as another $100 Waterford one I gifted! I soaked it in white vinegar for five days to leach the lead out and often run it through the dishwasher. It just sparkles! By the way, lead leaches out of acidic food and drink- butter is neutral acidity. The main things I like about it- besides it's beauty-are the nice size and the top handle that is very easy to hold on to.
