I have had mine for 20 years, and have gifted several of these to kin and friends....every few weeks just pop it in the dishwasher, then drop in another stick of real butter and set it next to the stove...It is air tight and rather classic looking...Your butter will remain unspoiled and very soft and so easy to spread.

THIS IS THE THIRD BUTTER DISH LIKE THIS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED. IT HAS A QUALITY APPEARANCE AND USEAGE AND MOST OF ALL I WOULD NEVER BUY A BUTTER DISH WITHIN A WELL DESIGNED KNOB ON THE TOP FOR EASY USEAGE AS IT IS PASSED AROUND THE TABLE.

I like the size of the butter dish. It is wide enough that when you remove or replace the top it will not rub against the butter.

Always had a problem where should I put my butter. Regular dishes didn’t work at all. This one had right size and now I can keep my butter safe. Also it looks pretty good on the table. Definitely recommended.
