This butter dish is very attractive, well made and heavy. After using those cheap plastic butter dishes for so long I couldn't be more pleased. I would recommend this to anyone.

Absolutely beautiful. Excellent quality. I think the crystal is a better choice than ceramic since bacteria thrive in a dark, warm, moist environment

Looks real pretty for the money and gives everyday dining a nice touch. It is heavy which is typical of lead crystal, so not so good with younger children handling it. Aside from that I like the knob on top and the tray can hold 2 quarters of butter, however then you would not be able to put the cover on. For one quarter there is ample room also for the cover. It is see through which I also like and you know how much butter is left on the tray.
