I like the covered Butter dish I purchased. It definitely has a bit of weight to it. I purchased it for my more formal meals/brunches/dinners (Christmas, Easter, etc.) to add a bit more elegance to the table.

My brother got married asked for cash instead of fancy butter dishes or crystal bowls no one ever uses. So I thought a crystal butter dish would be hilarious.<br />This was a great dish with a nice low price as little gag gift.<br />The dish is large (I personally think the best butter dishes are roomy enough to fit most sitcks with out the lid hitting them), pretty, and has a nice weight to it.

Nice heavy butter dish protects our butter from flies and our gluttonous cat. My husband says it's so fancy, it looks like it belongs on Downton Abbey! The surfaces on the inside are smooth and easy to clean. The knob on the lid allows for easy opening and closing. Does just fine in the top rack of our dishwasher.

I wanted a butter dish with a handle on the top and this fit the bill. I am disappointed with how the lid sits on the tray. There is no lip around the section where the butter sits on the tray to separate the butter from the lid. The butter slides to the side of the tray or gets wiped on the edge, and then the lid gets set in the butter. This is annoying because the butter then gets all over the counter when you set the lid down.
