Nice piece but be aware it's wide. You can put 2 sticks of butter side by side in this dish. Just a fun splurge for some fun sparkling in the kitchen. Much heavier than expected which is a good thing.

I like the covered Butter dish I purchased. It definitely has a bit of weight to it. I purchased it for my more formal meals/brunches/dinners (Christmas, Easter, etc.) to add a bit more elegance to the table.

High quality. This is a heavy, large butter dish but only holds one standard stick of butter. It won't hold larger imported butter.

I broke my beautiful cut crystal butter dish and ordered this one as a replacement. It's a suitable replacement but more of a pressed glass than cut crystal, but for the price it suits my purpose.

Excellent dish, my family thinks it cost a lot more than it did. My lid did rock just a bit due to a small glass bubble probably .020" high. The rocking is so slight that it doesn't even bother my usual OCD tendencies. I didn't even fix it, we just use it and its really not noticeable. If it bothers you that much put it on a very flat surface and sand it down using very fine paper just like you would do to a car part. It definitely fits the stick, in fact I live in Illinois, we have the skinny stick I think.. and it would probably fit two sticks.

This is a beautiful dish with a large area for butter. Take a standard American dish, and add 30% in length and 1.6x in width. If you are from Europe or Russia, you will feel right at home with its size. It sparkles like real crystal and reminds me of home. The only thing better would have been for the crystal to be cut, rather than molded for the sharp feel of authenticity.

It's quite attractive. The cover doesn't sit flat on the dish. It rattles a bit when touched or moved. I wasn't expecting that; I assumed it would fit as all my preceding butter dishes have. Still, that doesn't effect its use or its good looks....

Its lovely, my only comment is it is bigger than most butter dishes, but doesn't quite fit two sticks. Maybe it works for some pound size butters.
