Mission: GRREAT is an all volunteer non profit active in the rescue and adoption of golden retreivers in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Delaware, South Central Pennsylvania and adjacent portions of West Virginia. Our primary goal is to find qualified new homes for unwanted, stray or abandoned Golden Retrievers. We place over 100 Golden Retrievers each year through our foster care program. We help educate the public about the plight of disowned, and abused dogs. We also help educate prospective adopters about proper care for the dogs in our care, and advise on how best to train dogs to provide a mutually enjoyable experience for both dog and owner.
