I used this to restore an old, inexpensive Infinity RS-series speaker. This speaker was nearly an identical match to the old one, although I had to trim back each of the four corners of the metal basket by around 3/8 inch, and I also had to remove the seal around the front of the frame in order to get the plastic Infinity front trim piece to fit. But when it was all done, it sounded better than when new, and it looked cosmetically perfect even with the grill cloth removed, like it was manufactured that way from the factory. My friend was totally happy with the result.

I used this item with a JBL L36 set of speakers being fully rebuilt and boxes restored new the only issue was the speaker was off by 1 inch so I had to cut a new whole a simple process speaker worked and sound fantastic as a midbass with a JBL LE 10 woofers it's also a 80-watt power upgrade for the L36 speakers which operates at 50 watts rms this build was a serious power upgrade adding a Bluetooth system to the boxes, so we got exactly what we were looking for,

I purchased a used Micromedia sound system (7000596) and found the cone on the subwoofer was almost gone.I did some research and found this 8ohm Goldwood speaker was the best fit. The physical dimensions were almost identical to the original. The only adjustment I had to make, was to widen the clip on the negative terminal.I am not an audiophile so I won't give an opinion on the sound quality but it did the job and I expect to get many more years out of this system.p.s. I have another Micromedia sub and the cone on that one is torn as well so it may be common for them at this age?

Finally had the spider separate from the former on these 1994 Punch Power 5.25 speakers and decided on these as the replacement. What a great decision.Wanted a shielded speaker because of their being so close to the charge controller. These speakers delivered on every front.Very high quality construction and sound great with the existing separate tweeter and existing 12 db passive crossovers.Once they break in a bit we will know for sure!Very good quality speaker here!Wheres my gain screwdriver?

It does fit as a replacement but you either have to Dremel the hole out for it to sit completely flush and the silver trim plate go back on correctly. sound quality is horrible, sub it does not pick up or put out any real bass. This might be a decent midrange replacement but by no means it is a sub. if you have any taste or value in the quality of sound you want to be listening to i highly recommend you not purchase this speaker. UPDATEit lasted right at 2 weeks. zero sound, did the speaker test to confirm power and connectivity, I replaced it the blown factory vizo speaker and it works better other than being blown and the annoying rattle/ cant turn the volume up at all but at least there is base. definitely will be looking at a replacement surround sound system.

Rat Shack/ RCA branded with matching bolt pattern. I had no Idea the cabinets were cast alloy. Shielded, super clean sounding like the original. Pity that the moment you run them below 150hz they bottom out. Clean sound yes. Recreating your 90s fantasy, Jurassic park looking system with VHS playback quality yes. Cross the hz threshold and the term clipping gains new meaning. Very harsh on the highs with horrendous popping on the lows. Pit them together and post them on CL for $90.

I bought this as a replacement speaker and made sure all the specifications matched what my receiver was designed to work with. I also don't listen to music that loud. The speaker mostly works but the bass sounds blown out on some songs already. It also only plays at about half volume.

Really worth the money. I have a Sony speaker bar with the 6 inch woofer...that stopped working. Speaker burned out. This fit the woofer box perfectly. It is 8 Ohms and can handle 75 watts easily. 2-3X more BOOM with this woofer. Really easy to install.

Worked great as replacement to Radio Shack LX5. To replace a woofer in a Radio Shack CS5 it will require some cutting of the box interior
