I thought I HAD written a disparaging review and want to apologize about it (but I can't find the review). I thought that other products much cheaper would do just as well. After all this time (close to 2 yrs) I have to admit that no, the cheaper stuff does not do as well. Most of my label written with cheaper stuff lost whatever was written on them a while ago. So, the ink is really more permanent.Now, is it sharp enough. Not quite. The felt tip wears out too easily. Is it the worth the money? Not quite either. Once you know that it WILL last out in the sun and rain, you will have to decide according to your budget.I am retired and live in the trpics, so... you get it.

Classic Sharpies. Blue, red, and black are my favorite colors. Easy to see and they give you some variety when labeling. The only brand of marker pen you need.

Years ago I worked in commercial garden with hundreds of metal ID Tags on each different plant. I purchased one of each permanent marker on the market in Minnesota. I put the name of each marker on separate tags, out in the garden, subject to Minnesota weather. The Sharpie Medium Point out lasted the others by years. Most did not make it to the two year mark.

Sharpies are so handy! Never leave home without one. I bought these because I wanted a red one to mark golf balls. They work, it's a Sharpie!

I really needed a much finer point than this version of “fine”. Personal preference. Great for signing thank you cards though, no smudges.
