Mission: Founded in 1916, Goodwill Southern California (GSC) serves persons with disabilities or other vocational disadvantages, and local businesses seeking qualified employees, by providing education, skills training, work experience and job placement services. More than 35,000 people and businesses benefit from GSC's education, job training and placement programs annually. GSC cares for the Earth, too, by recycling more than 100 million pounds of textiles, household goods, paper, and electronics each year. GSC operates 82 retail stores, 44 attended donation centers, three campuses, four WorkSource Center, and 23 job service sites in the counties of Los Angeles (north of Rosecrans Avenue), Riverside and San Bernardino. (Less)
