our cat was just diagnosed with asthma and has to get the steroid prednisolone in pill form twice a day for 7 days, then reduced dosages progressively until we get his inhaler meds. we tried to pill him a few times, the first few times he did ok and then it was a struggle with two of us, and finally it was so bad my partner said he couldn't do it any more it was inhumane (and our cat really scratched him hard). we saw a youtube on pilling where the person used this bacon flavored wrap to make the pills go down easier. we got some to try to see if we could hide the pill like a treat. I cut the pill in half with a pill cutter (its kind of a big pill and has a indentation in the center because it is often halved), wrapped each half in the bacon goo so none of the pill was showing but not too thick so he couldn't eat the goo and leave the pill. I presented both wrapped halves as a treat and our boy ate it! Thankfully he likes porky flavors and he has a pretty good appetite even though he has asthma. It probably won't work for a kitty who doesn't like porky flavors or has a bad appetite due to their illness but we are so relieved it worked for our kitty who is the sweetest cat except when it comes to anything like pilling or seeing the vet!

My dog is allergic to peanut butter, and she can spit out pills hidden in cheese. Finding a way to disguise her pills was a pain! This is perfect for us as she thinks it is a treat and will gobble it down! One container lasts at least a couple of months-multiple pills per day.

Have been purchasing this for years as our pups get daily pills and this is by far the best product on the market for hiding pills! I love that I can pick however much or little I want to cover up the pill vs the pill pockets where the amount is already separated and never seems to be the right amount plus that other stuff doesn't form around the pills the way this stuff does! One of my dogs is super picky about what she will eat and takes only tiny amounts of whatever it is and chews slowly and can always get the pill out of whatever you put it in, except this stuff. They all see this stuff as getting a treat and don't even think twice about if there's a pill hidden or not. We purchase this every few weeks as we use it twice a day for multiple dogs!

I've used this product for years with multiple dogs and it always worked well. My current rescue has to take multiple pills trough the day and always takes them easily- like a treat.

My 25lb 18 and a half fur baby will fight u to the death to keep from taking pills. I have tried everything. She takes 3 a day Luckily I was given this by a friend and I'm able to wrap the pill a mix it in her food and she's none the wiser

So far this is an outstanding product.My cat needs to take a daily steroid and is also now on chemotherapy medication. She was fighting us when we'd try to give her the meds, but she ate this without hesitation.Right now I'm giving this a 5/5. If any problems arise I'll revise my review, but fingers crossed it stays positive.

My elderly and finicky cat loves these and now looks forward to getting all his pills .. which are 3 times a day. The other benefit is that it's a lot easier for him to chew now. He actually gobbles em up.He would frequently tire of the pill pocket flavors plus pieces would fall out of his mouth

This works really good with all 5 of my cats. Even the ones that won't touch a pill pocket love this stuff. I assume the flavor is 5 stars according to the kitties. Definitely would recommend and will be buying again as needed. No complaints about the consistency or anything like that. It doesn't seem to be drying out (I've been using daily for about a month).
