Causes: Animals, Wildlife Preservation & Protection

Mission: Our mission is to foster compassion, conservation, and environmental stewardship through wildlife rehabilitation and education. We accomplish this mission in two ways: 1) Rescue, rehabilitation, and the safe reintroduction back into the wild of orphaned, injured, or displaced wildlife. 2) Through education programs which not only teach facts, but also foster compassion and excitement for nature and environmental sustainability.

Results: This year, so far, we have taken in, rehabilitated, and returned back to the wild. . . over 200 wildlife mammals. We have also helped reunite over 112 wildlife mammals, birds, and reptiles with their natural mothers/nests/litters with the help of community "finders. " What is a community finder? It is anyone who finds an injured, orphaned, abandoned or displaced wildlife animal. We couldn't do this important work without you. . . the finders. Also, although not wildlife. . . we assisted in the adoption and spay/neuter of 34 feral kittens. All while receiving NO government funding or help of any kind. We are solely volunteer based and rely on donations. . . or our own money to fund these efforts.

Target demographics: rescue, rehabilitate, and release Kentucky's native wildlife mammals

Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year we rehabilitated and released 119 wildlife mammals. This year, so far, we have rescued, rehabilitated and released over 200 wildlife mammals.

Geographic areas served: Harrison County, Kentucky

Programs: We provide wildlife educational programs for schools, clubs, meetings, etc. . . and we work with the community to educate on conservation, ecosystems, habitats and distinguishing the difference between an animal that needs to be rescued and one that can be reunited with the natural mother.
