Mission: We work hand in hand with individuals and communities to transform lives by responding to expressed needs through cultural immersion, education, housing and health care. We seek to build community one person, one family at a time. Our ongoing programs provide access to quality education, safe housing and health care. Our immersion trips encourage individuals to deepen their perspective and realize their potential impact locally, regionally and globally.

Results: Hand in Hand has built 447 houses for deserving families in Belize, helped more than 100 children from the neediest families with the opportunity for a quality education in hopes of breaking the cycle of poverty. We've repaired roofs and built wheelchair ramps for hundreds of families in Appalachia and build 8 wheelchair ramps, assisted community partners with 'wish list' items and many homeowners with safety & accessibility projects.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 120 students in Belize and Nicaragua, homes for 25 families in Belize, home repair and wheelchair ramps for more than 50 families in Appalachia, and 8 wheelchair ramps, multiple projects with community partners and homeowners in Louisville.

Programs: Building for Change homes in Belize, Pathway to Change scholarship program in Nicaragua, home repair and food pantry in Appalachia in eastern Kentucky and Learning & Service, Safety & Accessibility Projects in Louisville, Kentucky.
