Mission: We save homeless animals by:Rescuing and transporting them to where they can be adopted. No-cost and low-cost spay/neutering to reduce the numbers of unwanted litters. Building an animal center where adoptable animals will never have to be euthanized.

Results: 1.We have rescued 13,445 animals between 2003 and 2021.2.We have spayed/neutered 12,089 animals at no-cost and low-cost since 2009.3.We built a community facility for our county's homeless animals, and - in the process - created 38 much-needed new jobs!

Target demographics: Homeless Animals

Direct beneficiaries per year: 508 animals that were rescued and adopted, and 1,142 animals that were spayed/neutered

Geographic areas served: Western Maryland

Programs: 1.Rescue and transport animals from the county shelter to larger rescue groups. 2.Spay/Neuter services to low-income pet owners. 3.Building an animal center that will allow adoptable animals to wait for their forever families.
