Mission: Horse North, Inc. is dedicated to helping horses and horse owners in need. Our goals are: to rescue at-risk horses from abuse, abandonment and neglect, and to provide healing and rehabilitation; to provide a second chance for these horses in loving forever homes; to educate and assist horse owners struggling to provide for their horses. We are available to Animal Control agencies to respond to their need of assistance in neglect, abandonment and/or cruelty cases.

Results: Over 250 horses placed in approved and loving homes since 2005

Target demographics: abused, abandoned, and neglected horses

Direct beneficiaries per year: over 30 horses get the proper care they need, which led to adoption

Geographic areas served: The Traverse City area and serve all of northern Michigan

Programs: a clean, safe environment, proper nutrition, medical care, dentistry, training and unconditional love from caring volunteers
