Mission: Our goal is to create a safe-haven for horses that have few options remaining, thereby ensuring them a better quality of life. At Horses of Tir Na Nog, we help build connections between people and horses in the San Diego community, increasing awareness about responsible horse ownership and care through education.
Results: We became an Adoption Partner with the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services in 2008.Since that time, Animal Services has not had to euthanize a single medically manageable equine.
Target demographics: horses rescued by County of San Diego Department of Animal Services from abuse, neglect or abandonment
Direct beneficiaries per year: over fifty equines
