Mission: Established to promote respect for all life and to prevent cruelty to animals, our continuing mission is to support the loving, responsible care of all animals in our community by: - Ensuring proper, nurturing care for the animals in our shelter- Placing all adoptable animals in loving homes and attempting to re-unite strays with their families- Reducing pet overpopulation by providing low-cost sterilizations- Providing education and outreach to the community- Stopping animal cruelty by working with local law enforcement as needed to educate people and protect animals.

Target demographics: all animals -- lost, stray, wild, domestic, injured, abused, abandoned and surrendered

Geographic areas served: Washtenaw County and Plymouth

Programs: - Pet adoption services- Full service, low cost veterinary clinic (open to the public; you do not need to have adopted to use our clinic- 24/7 ambulance service to sick and injured wildlife in Washtenaw County-Animal cruelty investigation-Humane education
