People partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable zero interest mortgage. Results: We have helped more than 540 families purchase their own safe, decent homes with an affordable 0% interest mortgages.

Target demographics: We work to eliminate poverty housing by building and renovating homes to create decent, affordable housing with low to moderate income families and individuals.

Geographic areas served: We serve the Ohio counties of Stark, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Harrison, and Jefferson

Programs: We partner with low to moderate income families and individuals to provide an opportunity for homeownership that would not otherwise be possible. Future homeowners work beside volunteers to build their home and then purchase it with a 20-30 year, ZERO interest mortgage.
