Mission: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge is an ecumenical housing ministry that works in partnership with low-income families and the community to eliminate poverty housing through building simple, decent homes. We help build community by involving diverse religious, social and business groups in the construction of homes and neighborhoods. For more than 30 years, HFHGBR has focused its efforts on building community by uplifting existing neighborhoods. Since our formation as an affiliate in 1989, HFHGBR has renovated and built more than 390 homes. Of these homes, over 85% have been in old and often declining neighborhoods that have seen little to no renovation or construction activity until Habitat construction begins. (Less)

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1987, and donations may or may not be tax-deductible.
