Mission: At Habitat for Humanity, our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live; through shelter we change lives. No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life, and every single one of us deserves the opportunity for a better future.

Target demographics: Advocate for and build affordable housing

Geographic areas served: Southwest Utah- Washington and Iron County

Programs: Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah provides no-profit, non-interest bearing mortgage notes to homeowners purchasing a Habitat home. In addition, Habitat provides no- profit, non-interest bearing promissory notes for recipients of its repairs program.

The primary service program is the construction or rehabilitation of homes to provide safe, decent, affordable housing for low-income families in Washington and Iron County, Utah. Habitat builds one to two homes per year. Through its Repairs Program, Habitat provides a repair service for roughly a dozen low-income homeowners annually ranging from minor yard care to complex roof repairs. In addition, Habitat pays a tithe to Habitat for Humanity International to provide safe and decent housing for families in Cambodia, Mexico, Brazil, and Haiti.

The Habitat ReStore (a home improvement discount outlet) in both St George and Cedar City Utah is an additional service to the community. The ReStore helps fund Habitat programs and helps recycle items in the community. Currently, the ReStore helps cover Habitat's operating and administrative expenses, reduces waste from the landfill, and gives the community an economical way to improve their homes. The ReStores are open Tuesday- Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and serve a population of over 216,000.
