This planer is by far the best dewalt tool I have in my work shop. This thing puts out chips like my chainsaw. Make sure you have a proper dust collection system setup for this. Your common shop vac won't keep up.

Best Benchtop Planner on the market. The noise level is high, but all planners have a high noise level. There are two things I would change.1. sell the planner with the option of having a Shelix planer head.2. reposition the Dust Ejection Port so you can fold up the Accessory Folding Tables. The Ejection port is in the way.

This benchtop planer is a great workhorse for its size. The clampdown feature really works well leaving the board smooth from end to end. I would highly recommend this planer. I would recommend mounting it to a bench it's quite heavy but not unmanageable if you need to lift it onto a bench.

Plenty of reviews on this planer in youtube. Am so happy testing it on few hardwoods and wonder why I haven't gotten it sooner.

Have no issues with use except changing finish.....when you do its hard to get back to 1. Besides that it works great

I'm really impressed with the Dewalt planer. I use a lot of cutoffs and scrap to make jewelry boxes and cutting boards. Most of the wood is too thick for what I want so I use the planer to trim it down. (I used to use my table saw until I cut my finger.) The planer is fast and accurate. (And safe!) I have had problems managing the dust. The planer shoots the wood chips out with such force I haven't figured a good solution to contain them yet. Basically it snows woodchips when I use it. It's also quite heavy. My shop is too small to have more than tool out at a time. I can barely manage to move the planer by myself.

I very much like this product, it odes exactly as I would have hoped for. I did make a mistake run boards through this machine with finish nails (I thought I got all of them) It will ruin the blades. That one is on me for that mistake. Those blades are also very sharp so be very careful changing them. I just wish the noise level was a bit softer. I would buy this in a heart beat again

I seen a lot of bad reviews, but those are obviously user errors. I did not turn this on straight out the box because of the reviews. I gave it a once over before powering it on. This planer can handle some really hard wood. I have run all kinds through it and have had it for over a yr now and still runs like new!

Easy to use, very little assembly required. If you want a flat board this will do it. Handles hardwoods easily.

Very good product and probably the best out there for home woodworking. The only negative is the noise which is very very loud but it is very accurate and the wood comes out very smooth. Very happy with this product.

So far there are zero dislikes. I have used my planer to prepare maple and pine boards. It leaves a very smooth surface with minimal snipe.I bought this based on reviews here and other places online. I can see they were accurate. You will not regret choosing this planer over a cheaper one.

Overall the planer is excellent. But the infeed and outfeed tables are really greasy, especially compared to the mirror finish on the planer bed. Also, the outfeed table does not fold up enough to stay up. So if you buy one, also get a 1ft bungee cord to hook it to the infeed table to keep them folded up when not in use.
