I'm not sure how many people need to know this is gluten free because I'd rather paint with it than eat it. It's going to take some time to get that image of adding it to my food out of my head so I can paint now. This just makes me laugh for some reason. It doesn't say it's non-toxic so I wouldn't recommend it in place of your mayo or mustard.

The lid chipped off a little from the delivery box. However, the seal was still on the rim of gesso, which it was good thing. I had not use the gesso, yet.

This huge bottle comes in handy to prepare items to paint. My teen uses this for things they paint to have a base coat so they do not have to use as much of their other paint. Sometimes in some items it takes more than one coat, but it works for their needs!

This gesso beats the more expensive brands easily. I actually prefer this gesso to Liquitex's or Golden's, both of which are excellent quality, of course. But this gesso is thick, bright white, creamy, and fabulously opaque. I order it exclusively and use it on paper, hard board, canvases, and anything and everything that requires gessoing. If you try this even once instead of the premium brands, I think you'll be wonderfully surprised!

Not enough pigment at all... It's incredibly sheer and takes 6 layers to be opaque. Not good value

It’s good and it dries well! I always do an extra layer of gesso for my canvases so it turned out well! When I sand it down after 2 layers it was really nice and smooth but sturdy! I even used up to 2-3 layers of gesso so I could paint on jar.

This gesso has great coverage and so far I have no complaints. It is my go-to base coat for canvas and wood, which are the mediums I mainly work with. The lid tightens back securely and so far I have had no issues with any of the gesso drying out.

It works! It’s not as thick as I expected, but you do get a pretty big bottle of it so multiple layers are fine for me. Good to add to cheap canvases to give them a bit more structure and a better painting surface.

Works as it’s supposed! Is thick and covers great! It dries faster than I thought, making it easy to continue painting. The bottle/ container was completely full so you really get what you bought!

Helps my paints perform better on the canvas. Large size is great. My Inktense and watercolor pencils still struggle a little bit only when they are not activated. Once water activated, it takes a little extra work but they still turn out nice. Glad I found this!

I used this to redo a few canvases. I had messed up the paintings but since canvases are not cheap I thought I would give this a try. It was so easy to use and dried to a perfect finish. I ordered a black one now too. Good buy and good price.
