The packaging can use improvement. Lid was lose and container leaked. Luckily the other two items with it were wrapped properly and protected. Good coverage as you can see over the brown cardboard box . Good value for the money.

I chose this Acrylic Gesso because it was 32oz it was a great buy for the money. Gesso is used to pretreat your canvases. Pretreated canvas prevent both oil acrylic paints from leaking through. I've used the gesso twice to pretreat 6 canvases so far.

I used this for under coating rocks before painting them. A small amount goes a long way. Before drying, I gently rebrushed and a nearly smooth completion. Fast drying.

This label is totally misleading as it isn’t gesso it’s thin watery acrylic paint, gesso is something totally different, do not buy

Had to use more than HALF of the 32 oz container of Gesso through 7 coats each, to prepare two old used canvases for re use. The thickness was quite runny, which made for a less than optimal energy expenditure to cost ratio when doing the task. I'd say paying twice as much next time and having to do half the effort would be more than worth it compared to buying this gesso again. 3 stars, since it did get the job done... eventually.

So this gesso worked great BUT packaging was awful. It was spilled all over my other items, the lid was open in the box and the seal was broken. Very dissatisfied at that part.

This gesso is thick, but sheer. I often have to put 2-3 coats of covering something dark, I feel like I will get a lot of use out it still!

this product works fine. but it is thin and takes a looooong time to dry.. i usually gesso my canvases a day or two before i need them.. and have a few done ahead... but if I need the canvas sooner... like in a few minutes... i will have to use a blow dryer (which i haven't done) or wait and wait and wait... lol I am currently leaving the lid off of the container for a few hours to see if that will thicken it a bit... I use it also on mixed media paper to use acrylic paints on and it has worked well.
