I started triple gessoing all my canvases prior to painting and this was a great deal! As to be expected with gesso, it stinks. But no worse than any other brand so no biggie.

Its the perfect consistency, takes about 3 coats to cover dark colors if you want to reuse a canvas.

Professional artist. Impressed with coverage, consistency and vibrant white color.I did a sideby-side comparison on a 24 x 36 hardboard panel, with another gesso I have used over the years, and it was much better!

Great overall paint. I used this paint to put a base on very large rocks outside. It only took one coat to cover. The paint looks great and goes on easy.

Works ok but be sure to use it immediately. It is not a product that can sit for any amount of time. It smells really really bad. We have a transplant patient whom this was purchased for and they cannot use it. I do not know what kind of bacteria (etc) is growing within the gesso that is causing the odor but it is certainly not safe for anyone who is immunocompromised.

Can't say anything about the product, but it was not packaged properly, the can did not have any sort wrap or bag around it, so it blew up in the box containing my other orders, ruined those , leaked out on the porch, table and everywhere. And that's gesso which is hard to clean once it sticks. Thanks for extra cleaning work, retailer. Looks like a good gesso though so far. Buy it elsewhere though, where someone cares more.

This huge bottle comes in handy to prepare items to paint. My teen uses this for things they paint to have a base coat so they do not have to use as much of their other paint. Sometimes in some items it takes more than one coat, but it works for their needs!
