Programs: 2016 was a very special year for hea. The organization celebrated its 10th anniversary along its lifesaving journey. Additionally, the organization completed its first capital campaign when it opened the doors to an experience driven adoption facility located at 2255 fox heights lane in green bay, wi on august 30,2016.Hea took full advantage of the new facility to assist in communicating its origins, success stories, and vision. This included a refreshed brand and brand messaging that more accurately portrays the body of work hea completes each day. This story can be found at heanokill. Org. Adoption- happily ever after's adoption program added significnat muscle during 2016.A team of dedicated volunteers implemented a cutting edge shelter management software platform. This tool provides real-time data, provides record storage, and provides direct feeds to major adoption aggregators such as petfinder. Com and adoptapet. Com. The 10 year adoption total exceeded 3,000 forever matches in calendar year 2016.Volunteerism-in addition to the work that happily ever after does to benefit the animals of its community (and beyond), there is a very real focus on the community that is being built within, powered by more that 20,000 hours of volunteerism from approx. 150 active volunteers in calendar year 2016.The accomplishments and contributions were numerous. In addition to an abundance of animal care related activities, happily ever after volunteers contributed more than 3,000 hours of love and attention (in the form of demolition, construction, and interior design work) to its new adoption facility. Happily ever after also began a relationship with americorps in august of 2016.This program will bring more than 1,900 hours of service to the organization between 2016-2017 with a primary emphasis on increasing volunteer capacity at hea.

happily ever after provides both temporary and lifetime care to approx 200 companion animals each day. In addition to the programs outlined above happily ever after provides the following services to companion animals and the community at large:-low cost spay/neuter services for those that are unable to afford full-cost services. 2016 completed the 8th year of this program in partnership with local veterinarians. This program has been responsible for more than 2,500 alterations being completed since 2008.-rehabilitation of animals requiring behavior modification or extensive medical care-sanctuary (lifetime care) for animals requiring a stable and consistent environment-community education and volunteer opportunities focused on safe pet handling and responsible pet ownership
