I wish I had known about this book years ago so I could have read it to my sweet little boy. He is 54 now and after getting the book, I marched into his room and read it to him. He was mystified but I said the book was for my great-grandchild who is due to arrive in 7 months. I asked my son to take the book and read it when he goes to meet his grandchild. There are plenty of scary, hairy things in the world but this book reminds the listener that they are safe. Well-thought out setting with excellent illustrations. Margaret W. Brown did well here.

This was a favorite book of my kids who are now in college. My niece is a nephews are having kids we buy it for every new baby. Great book for bedtime read. Reading is extremely important to development of young minds. My wife and I have read to our children a very young age and I feel that is why they accell at academics.
