We love this game, it's a really great game for groups. I would recommend playing it for the first time with others who have played it before because the rules and set up can be confusing. But we absolutely love how you get to go through each book and add more characters and spells. It's a Harry Potter book lover's dream game.

My advanced ability Harry Potter obsessed 7, 8, and 9 year old boys found it confusing at first to understand, but love it once they figured out how it works. So,they made need some help with set-up and directions, but then can take off and play on own.

This game is seriously so much fun! We played it once with a friend and as soon as we got home we purchased our own game. We've played it for hours several days in a row. The game always changes so it will never get old for us! Our favorite new thing to do is put on the Harry Potter soundtracks, make a batch of butterbeer, and play through the game. We're constantly switching up characters so that we can play it through again.

WOW. This game is well organized. You travel through the 7 years and the game gets TOUGH. We are on year 5 and have found some strategies that work. There is definitely some luck to it, but the key is that either you win, or the game wins! Much more fun for us than competing against one another. This was my first every card building game so keep that in mind as you read this review.

We. Love. This. Game. As Harry Potter fans, this game was an easy purchase for us. What we didn’t expect was that we would love it so much and want to play it repeatedly. We are actually organizing a game night so we can introduce this game to our friends. Be sure to get the Monsters expansion as well!

When I first saw this game, I saw it as something interesting, something to possibly use as an entry point for Deck Building games for a few of my friends. And boy was I right. I have a couple of friends who have never really played board games that often, much less deck builders like Legendary. So I got this game, thinking it would be a simple one and done, I would be in and out pretty quick. Let me tell you, this game is actually pretty fun and it's nice to have it build up game after game until you have all the cards available. I'm still only on game 4, but haven't had much time to continue, but if it continues the way it has, it's going to be a wonderful game. IF you want to find a simple deck building game that can slowly introduce the little things to people not familiar with the style of game, I would HIGHLY recommend this game.
