Our family totally enjoy the game so much. This game allows our family to cooperate and plan together as a team instead of fighting against each others. We are having so much fun and looking forward to the extended box that we just ordered.

It is quite similar to the marvel deck building games but fix a few of my problems with it. It is rather fun even in a two player setting. It is a tiered game making not only easier to pick up but keeps it changing for the first several plays.

So much fun, took a while to learn the rules, but a great game that does get pretty hard towards years 6 and 7.

We love this game--my entire family. Not all are Potter-heads, like me, but everyone enjoys this game--adults and kids alike. The increasing complexity from years 1-7 give you something to look forward to from game to game. It's also easy to learn and a great intro to deck-building games for anyone who has never played one before. It is fun to acquire various items, spells, potions and allies as you play--having items like Felix Felicis or Polyjuice Potion in your deck, or allies like Fred and George Weasley or Dumbledore, or amazing spells. We just bought the Monster expansion pack too because we love playing this game that much. Just buy it.

Seriously the best game my family has ever played. We play a LOT of games but none of them are as FUN as this one. Our family can fight even over a cooperative game, but this one has minimal tears and gnashing of teeth - probably because the source material is so awesome familiar. No joke, it makes me appreciate the books even more...I see new connections and even new shades of meaning in the characters. Clearly this was created by hard core HP fans who REALLY know their material. We got this for Christmas, so about six weeks ago, and we have played it almost every day since. We've played it up to four times in a day. It is completely addicting and it's still fun almost every time (unless you're losing really badly...which sometimes happens right off the bat). I can't wait until my kids are home from school so we can play! It's appropriately challenging (even though we can win Year 7, we can still return to Year 4 and lose sometimes). We were just talking about how it didn't cost more than all of us going to the movies, but has afforded us hours and hours of family engagement entertainment. I cannot recommend this game highly enough!! My kids are 7 9 and play it easily, but my 7 yr old has memorized all the rules (he corrects the rest of us) - I think it would be a little hard for most kids his age, but 8-9 is probably a fine age to start, especially if they're fans of the books. It's equally fun for adults. My only wish is that they'd release an expansion that added more players. Limiting it to four heroes makes for a challenge when you want to share your favorite game with friends! I'm sure we will be getting the Monster Book expansion but I understand it isn't designed to add heroes. USAopoly, if you're reading this, get on that for us mega-fans! :D

LOVE THIS GAME!!! We were introduced to this game by some friends and we bought it for ourselves a few months later after we moved away and couldn't play it any more. We've since introduced it to a few more friends who have gone on to purchase it for themselves as well. We've played it as a two player version and four player version and even though the levels are the same, the cards you get or the difficulty of villains changes each time making each game a new experience. We full heartedly recommend this game to any Harry Potter loving fan or game lover!
