One of my girlfriend's cousins got it for Christmas and we played games 1-4 that day. We all had a great time and I liked it so much I got it myself shortly after. I've played it with my roommates and family members and everyone has enjoyed it so far. I've never played a deck building game before, but this is a good introduction to it. It took us a little bit to get everything setup the first time, but after a couple turns you figure everything out pretty quickly. Each of the 7 34;games34; adds onto the previous game, making it a bit more challenging but also gives you better cards/abilities. Each hero eventually gets an ability that gives them bonuses and pushes them to be a specific role (healer, spell caster, etc.). The difficulty heavily depends on which villains appear at the start. If you get the more powerful villains or get weak cards to choose from in the beginning, you get beat up pretty bad before you get enough cards to be able to deal with them effectively. We lost on game 4 pretty quickly the first time we played it, but the second time it was significantly easier. And the first time we played game 6 we only got one card that was able to remove location tokens (Villains win if all locations are full of tokens) and lost on the last villain. We beat game 6 easily the next time we played. The one thing I dislike is that you have to remove all the cards you got during the previous game when starting the next game. It's frustrating to get the powerful cards towards the end of the game then have to throw them back in the deck after using them maybe once, but it keeps the game difficult and allows you to start the game at any level. Overall it's a great game and I definitely recommend it!
