just okay. Game is a little boring and complicated.

We are huge fans of this deck-building game. We got it last Christmas, and have since given it to 3 additional households in our extended family after requests from nieces and nephews. Since the game adapts and grows increasing complex depending on which 34;year34; you choose to play, a variety of ages can learn. While he needs a little help, our 6 year old loves playing years one and two!

We got this for Christmas and it's the end of January when this review is being written and we have almost played this every single night since Christmas! A lot of times themed games off of movies are not as thought through as a normal game and the people rely on fandom being the reason for people to buying it BUT NOT with this game they really actually created a game that's is fun and a bit challenging!

Everything about the game and the purchase was perfect. It arrived in time for giving it as a Christmas present, and the person who received it was really excited. We played with it and had a wonderfull time. I really recommend it!!

A fun and challenging game. This is my family's first experience with a deck building game and we were addicted right away. We did start from game 1 and it helped us get used to the rules and figure out how to work together. As you progress there are more villains to defeat so the game gets longer. Our first attempt at game 7 was a little over and hour and a half. Harry Potter fans and even non fans will enjoy this game. We did buy the expansion as well and I recommend that also.

Bought this game for our 15 yr old son for Christmas and spent a month playing it as a family along with our 9 yr old daughter. For the most part we really loved it. It was difficult at first with all the instructions but you get the hang of it once you start playing. Games 1 - 3 were fairly easy and fast, which was fine cause you are building to make the game better. Games 4 and 5 were extremely difficult to beat and we had to play them over and over. Kind of frustrating but really rewarding and fun when we finally beat them. It took a lot of working together. Then we moved on to Game 6 and then 7. These last two games were ridiculously easy and the reason I'm not giving this review 5 stars. We finished Game 6 in one try with all of us having full health and no skull tokens on the 1st location card. There was no challenge to it at all. Game 7 was fairly the same with beating the game with all health remaining and still on the 1st location card. I think the difference was in the special abilities cards that were introduced in Game 6 and also some of the Hogwarts cards in Game 6 that were added. They allowed the Heroes to gain more attacks and influence in order to defeat the Villains faster and easier. So while my family will play this game again and again, we might choose to change it up and take out some of the cards and abilities in order to make it more challenging.

We LOVE this game. We had never played one of these so we watched a YouTube video on how to play it as the directions are vague. It is definitely to slow moving for younger kids, probably 10 or younger.

Really fund deck building game, especially if you, like me, are a huge fan of the Harry Potter universe. It probably can't measure up to a game like Dominion or Legendary that is a bit more refined as far as deck-building and game mechanics go, but it's still a ton of fun. Basically was able to get people to play it based more on their love of HP than being hardcore board game players.
