I had seen this kitty advertised and read so many good reviews about it. So, I got this for my Mother who was diagnosed with dementia and has since had to go live in a facility. It is adorable! Some of my siblings thought that our Mother would think it was silly and I was tempted not to give it to her. However, I thought if she didn’t like it, I would just hang onto it and she may like it sometime in the future. As soon as she saw it, her face lit up like I had not seen in many months. She kept telling it she loved it and kissed it over and over. It brought happy tears to my eyes to see my Mother so happy again. What a blessing this little robotic kitty has been!! It is pricey but I think it was worth every penny! If you buy it for someone in a facility, I recommend that you write your loved ones name on the tag and/or inside on the battery compartment, in case someone takes it for a walk ????....you will want to make sure it makes it way back home.

It is amazing how everyone says she’s freaky but always stops to pet her. She doesn’ do things in a pattern but in response to you walking by or the touch of your hand or sound of your voice. In addition to purring, she has 5 different meows. She shakes her head back and forth and twitches her ears in addition to cleaning her face with her paw and rolling back to have her tummy rubbed. The more you play with her the more she does and her closed or half closed eyes let you know how happy she is. Yes, she is very much like cat. Her hair is separating from hand oils from the petting. I don’t know how to clean her.

We bought the cat as a gift for the care home where our mother had lived for several years. She has been an resounding success, delighting the residents and staff alike. Particularly popular with the residents with dementia, the toy is lifelike, responsive and robust!

My brother and I purchased this cat for our mother who suffers from Alzheimer's and is in a nursing home. There are not enough words to tell you what a difference this cat, who has been named KitKat, has made to her life. It truly is her constant companion and is with her all the time. In her mind KitKat is a real cat and has brought so much joy to her every day living. We have had to replace it twice because of it getting so soiled but it is a small price to pay for making her so happy. She just thinks we've taken the kitty to be groomed. I honestly cannot say enough about this cat and would highly recommend it for anyone who suffers from dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this cat. My 98 yr old Gma dotes on it!! Interactive and its purring is soothing. I do wish there was a feature to keep the purring “on” and turn “off” the meowing and moving - for night time. Its pretty durable... however 3 weeks in ours is showing “wear” around the white mouth as Gma keeps insisting on feeding it real food.... so I am cleaning it ALOT w dove soap, water and a washcloth. The amount of joy this has brought her - and me watching her interact with the cat - is priceless. An added bonus— it gives her and I something to talk about and connect on. After seeing how much my Gma loves this cat, I just purchased one for an elderly friend in a nursing home to also enjoy. Would also be great for those with allergies that cannot have the cat they’d love to have! My nieces love this cat.

Our granddaughters got these for Christmas. They were so cute. For medical reasons, we cannot have, nor do we really want a house pet and this is a great substitute. It performs all the functions we like without those we don’t, i.e. feeding, shredding, clawing and ... you know what I mean. Visitors mistake it for the real thing st first, especially if it purrs or “meows.” A volume control on a he Meow would be helpful.

This cat is eerily cat-like and fascinating to play with. I bought it for my friend with dementia in a nursing home and he knows on one level it is not real, but talks to it like it is. The cat purrs, meows, opens and closes its eyes, turns its head, licks its paw, and even rolls back to have its belly scratched. It has sensors in its head, back, and tummy, so all you have to do is stroke it to initiate actions. Best $100 bucks I ever spent on my friend's amusement (and mine).

My mother who has Alzheimer's is delighted with her cat. She talks to it and chuckles when it appears to respond. Thank you to the makers for giving my mother this joy despite her condition,

My daughter really likes this. We purchased another one for our handicapped nephew, and he really likes it too. The meow is a little annoying, and sounds really fake, but the movements are so sweet. We have the meow turned off, and just the movements & purring left on.<br />Wish it had a volume switch so we could just turn down the meow.

I have ordered two others (not this brand), not at all happy with them. Stumbled on this. I ordered it for my client, a 92 yr old lady with dementia. Best purchase!!! She talks to it and cuddles with it. It makes her so happy????. We took it to lunch at a restaurant. Everyone loved it and I'm pretty sure 4 people there have since purchased one. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks for making this product.
