Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, a long-term care resident with frontotemporal degeneration, a form of dementia, after I saw another resident who received one her birthday. He played with hers for a while and began interacting with it after I demonstrated what to. We always had cat(s) at home and I still do. He seems to like "him", who we named nnn, Jr. after him. He reacts to the purring, meowing, and pets him occasionally, but often just likes him in his lap. I bring in "nnn, Jr." in a mesh duffel bag, his "carrier" and take him home with me to keep our cat at home company. After all, she lost her feline buddy in 10/2016 and is lonely for another cat. The other residents also get a big kick out of this "pet". We left him with another resident and his wife yesterday for a while and that man was all smiles talking about the new kitty.
