my mom is 87 and misses her cat, she has two! She didn't like the stiff wiskers... the sound is close to being real, the movements are nice it keeps my mom alert.

Bought it for an elderly mentally disabled man who worked with me and told me he had to leave his gray cat when he moved to another adult foster home. He really loved this cat.

Had so many people do double takes- it looks so real. Wish the cat was a little softer. You can feel some of the mechanic in the body.

I just lost two out of three cats of mine due to old age and illness. My remaining cat was by herself and I just can't bring myself to get another cat. I thought this cat would keep her company. She actually sleeps beside it and when it randomly meows it is comforting to me at least to see she is not alone.

This cat is amazing. I bought this cat for my dad who is in a alzheimers facility. He started talking and smiling at the cat. He actually laughed!. He loves this cat, and it has brought so much joy to his life. This is the best for him.

My husband loves Sweetie Pie and enjoys having her on one side of his lap and our real live Chihuahua Chiquita on the other side. Great idea for people who are living with serious illness.

This has been an absolute godsend for my 87 year old Mother-in-law with dementia. She thinks of it as a friend and calls it Kitty. She loves to hold it and talks to it as a friend when it meows or purrs. If it is out of sight for any length of time she says 34;where is kitty34; and we have to get it for her. It makes her smile and have pleasant thoughts. I bought this over a month ago and we still have not had to change the batteries. Her caretakers turn it off at night when she goes to bed and back on when she gets up. I would recommend this for anyone who has a loved one with dementia. It has been a miraculous tool for us. Thank you Joy for All!

The cat was exactly as expected. It arrived earlier than advised also. It has been a great companion for my mum who has recently been admitted into a rest home for care. She loves it - as do her great grand children.

Bought this for my mom in Rehab/nursing home and she absolutely Loves it!! Its ears, eyes, head, paws move and it purrs both loudly and physically vibrates. It meows sweetly. Has a mute button if you tire of the meows. Very much appreciate this product for an elder who lost her 14 year old companion. Thank you.

My 75-year-old sister almost died from acute kidney failure following a major flare of autoimmune vasculitis. When I spoke with the doctors, they said she would not be able to keep her pets (two little dogs, two cats) because it would not be safe. She'll be on immunosuppressants from here on out, and exposure to live pets will be too dangerous. I didn't realize there was such a thing as a robotic companion animal for adults, but a friend of ours said she was looking into a robotic dog from Japan. (Yeah, one of those really expensive futuristic plastic ones.) I started researching and watching videos on YouTube, and I thought this Joy For All cat would be perfect for her. Her cats have always climbed up on the desk between her iMac monitor and her keyboard drawer and been a constant presence. Joy For All also has a dog version of this companion pet, but knowing my sister, it will be the cats she misses the most. This kitty can lie on her desk and be responsive to her when she needs it but go to sleep when she's embroiled in work. I just got word my sister's new kitty has been delivered to her home and is waiting for her on the dining room table. She won't be out of rehab for at least a few weeks, but I'm so glad to know she won't be completely alone when she gets back home. I mean, hey, she refers to her Roomba as 34;My manservant, Raul34; and talks to him, so I know she'll be really tickled with this robotic cat. I just thank goodness that these are available. I was really worried that my sister, who has had cats her whole life, was at risk of sinking into a bad depression after all she has been through. But what a great kitty this is! I want one, too!

I love my 34;faux34; cat! It is really cute and lifelike. The motions don't repeat in a pattern, so you don't know if you are going to get a meow or a purr. I have a real cat and we've been having a lot of fun watching them interact. (After a few day, my real cat lost interest and just ignores the toy, but the toy still brings lots of laughs and smiles to me and everyone we show her to.)
